The pills are at
least five years away, but the question is here now: Will you have a right
to boost or erase your own memory?

were a medication that could safely and significantly improve your memory,
would you use it? What if you could take a pill that would selectively erase
an unwanted memory—perhaps of an early childhood trauma that still haunts
your adult life?
