Dr. Danielle C. Turner
Danielle Turner is a postdoctoral research
associate at the University of Cambridge Department of Psychiatry in the UK. She
recently completed a highly successful PhD in psychopharmacology at the
University of Cambridge, during which time she received special recognition for
her PhD work from the Royal Institution, UK, as a finalist in the ‘Science
Graduate of the Year’ competition. Danielle is best known for her work on
cognitive enhancement which she has presented at numerous national and
international conferences and published in high quality scientific journals. Her
work has received widespread recognition and has been discussed in public forums
in the UK such as the Guardian Newspaper, The Today Programme and the BBC World
Service. Danielle is also recognised for her excellent science communication –
she writes for the online science magazine ‘Naked Scientists’ and the Journal of
Experimental Biology and has received awards from the New Scientist/Wellcome
Trust, the Medical Research Council UK (Max Perutz essay competition) and the
Daily Telegraph.
Dr. Turner joined the CCLE as a Fellow in 2005.
